Festive Party Perils Revealed!
With Christmas parties just around the corner and Hampshire corporate entertainment, restaurants and bars all booked up, it’s a very exciting time of year. But be warned! If you plan on getting ready for your work Christmas do at your house or a friend’s, you should be as careful as you possible can.
According to new research from Sainsbury’s Home Insurance, proper care when getting ready for a party isn’t always taken. Apparently, 14 per cent of people have managed to get hair dye or other products on their carpet, 14 per cent have spilled nail polish, 13 per cent have spilled or smashed their makeup, eight per cent have left their hair straighteners on and seven per cent have let the bath or shower overflow.
It’s easy to get distracted, particularly after a busy day at work when you’re already tired and your mind is on how much fun you’re going to have dancing the night away with your work pals, but you need to make sure you’re not ruining your house in the process!
“Items such as candles, irons, and hair straighteners can be easy to forget when getting ready to go out. And we’d also recommend putting any valuable items out of reach if you’re hosting a party. Above all, we hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas,” the bank’s Scott Gorman said.
We’re sure you’ll have a wonderful time – as long as your corporate entertainment is already booked! Don’t leave it till the last minute if you’re organising your work do. Avoid disappointment and get in there early!
