Our ongoing spate of glorious summer weather has got us all at sea here in Tailored HQ. Right now a little sun, sea, sand and sangria is pretty much all we can think about. And that’s got us pondering one of our favourite summer trends – seaside weddings. There’s nothing quite like a big white wedding down on the seafront, is there? But with a dizzying amount of options for venues it can be a little difficult to know where to start.
Well fear not! We’ve made a little list of some of our absolute favourite seaside wedding spots, to give you a little helping hand.
Camber Sands is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful stretches of seafront in the British Isles. This charming little venue is located a stone’s throw from this sprawling, milk white shoreline on the Kent coast. Stunning views, fabulous food and a relaxed, cultivated atmosphere abound. Not only that, but the backdrop makes for marvellous photos. One of our biggest wedding bands in Kent, the fabulous Festival Folk, called it ‘one of our favourite venues on the south coast – it feels like you’re on the French Riviera!’
Brighton Palace Pier – Brighton
If you were after a proper taste of the English seaside, you need look no further than Brighton Palace Pier. It’s world famous boardwalks have come to represent the quintessential UK seafront setting, and now you can get hitched in this amazing location! Rollercoasters, penny arcades, sticks of rock and the iconic Brighton coastline, all wrapped up in a truly unforgettable wedding venue that can be perfectly paired with your Brighton wedding band of choice. What a combination! Another of our Kent wedding bands, The Revival, had a show here pretty recently. Here’s what the happy couple had to say afterwards –

Shell Bay is a really special spot. It's perfectly positioned on the very edge of Studland, a beautiful spit of land that overlooks the Poole waterfront. Shell Bay is accessible by a ferry that brings you pretty much straight to it's front door. The restaurant itself boasts two rosettes and benefits from a remarkable location - the shore sits right up against the venue's back patio. The views are incredible, the sunsets are magical, and the food is spectacular. What more could you possibly ask for in a seaside wedding venue?
Straddling the glistening waters of The Solent are three striking fissures of rock. Seen from the shoreline, they seem to rise from the sea like weather-beaten, battle weary sentinels. But if you get a little closer, these intimidating old forts take on a rather different perspective. Built by The Duke of Wellington during the Napoleonic Wars in the 1850's, these incredible structures have now been transformed into luxury hotels - offering amazing wedding packages in a completely unique setting. These forts in The Solent have become something of a badge of honour for our Hampshire weddings bands - A-List even wrote about it in one of their recent blogs.
