When To Book Your Wedding Entertainment
If you've just got engaged, congratulations! But now you've got to get down to the very real business of planning your wedding, from sorting out your photographer, to finding the perfect dress and booking your Southampton wedding band.
But when should you book your wedding entertainment and how far in advance should it be done? Your first port of call should of course be to pick a date and find your venue - the rest of the decisions will fall in line once these two have been sorted out.
Bear in mind that bands often break up, so if you book something too far ahead you run the risk of them cancelling on you at the last minute (although we'd hope that they'd honour their commitment to you if at all possible). So it makes sense to use a company like Tailored Entertainment, as you know all the artists on our books will be reliable and won't leave you in the lurch on your special day.
Bands such as jazz, swing and festival bands, get booked up pretty quickly, especially if they're specifically wedding bands, so if you have been eyeing up a particular group make sure that you get in touch with them as soon as you know your date and have your venue lined up to avoid disappointment.
Typically, weddings are planned and booked a year in advance so you'll have plenty of time to make up your mind about who you want to have play at your ceremony. Why not have a look on our site to see if our acts suit you?
