These are available for an additional fee, and you’ll find the options listed on each band's profile.
If you’re looking for an upgrade beyond those listed on the band’s page, feel free to check if we can arrange this for you. Our booking team can be reached directly on 0800 564 2240 or via email at info@tailored-entertainment.com.
How do I book a live music band?
When you’re ready to book, all you need to do is send an enquiry for either a specific band, or your chosen shortlist via the heart button at the top of the page. One of our booking team will get in touch to chat through options and how to progress. If you’d prefer, give us a call directly on 0800 564 2240 to get the ball rolling to find your perfect wedding band!
If you’re not sure where to start: take a look through our pages for Weddings Bands, Party Bands, or Corporate Acts, depending on your event. You can narrow down your search using the filters for genres and locations on those pages or on our homepage.
Every band listing has additional information to help you make your choice, with video, audio, repertoire, and testimonials. If you’re feeling spoilt for choice with all the terrific acts (we know how tough it can be!), you can create a shortlist of favourites to review.
If you’d like further guidance or to talk through multiple options, feel free to get in touch - our friendly and helpful booking team can be reached on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com.
When should I book my band?
The timing has to be right for you, but we’d recommend booking your wedding band as early as possible. Peak dates, particularly across the summer, will often book up a year in advance. To ensure you get the right band for you, we’d suggest booking as soon as you have your venue confirmed.
As the bands we represent are exclusive to Tailored Entertainment, you can rest assured that when you’re booking with us, your favourite band won’t get snapped up by another agency.
Music
Can someone help me choose the right band?
With so many incredible bands to choose from, it’s an understandable challenge to decide on just one! If you’re struggling to find the right live music entertainment, we’d be more than happy to help. Give our expert team a call on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com, and we’ll suggest a few acts that could be perfect for you, based on your preferences and budget.
When we chat your options over, it can be helpful to consider:
- What kind of music do you like to listen to?
- Which songs get you and your guests dancing? If you’re planning a wedding or a party, this might mean thinking about your friends or family’s tastes, whereas booking a corporate event might mean thinking about crowd-pleasing genres depending on your colleagues or networks.
- What kind of evening or event would you like to have? A fun and energetic dance party? A meaningful ceremony full of emotion? Or perhaps a themed occasion that needs to strike the right atmosphere?
Having a think about these questions will help us to recommend an act that fits your event and preferences.
Can I choose the songs my band performs?
When you book your band, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know which of their songs you’d love to hear. Here’s how it works:
- Every band’s profile includes their unique repertoire of music. We recommend taking this into consideration when booking your band, and make sure that you like plenty of the songs on their list. Whether you’re looking for a floor-filling party band, or an acoustic accompaniment for a ceremony, the repertoire you choose should reflect the atmosphere you’d like to create for your big event.
- When you book your act, we’ll ask you to go through your chosen band’s repertoire and highlight your favourites. You can also use this time to identify any songs you wouldn’t like to hear. The band can keep all of that in mind when putting the sets together for your big night.
- Including in your booking with Tailored Entertainment, all our bands also offer to learn one special request (a song not listed on their repertoire). This might be your first dance song if you’re planning a wedding, or it could simply be a song you love to go into the live performance!
When reviewing your favourite songs, it’s worth keeping in mind that each band builds their repertoire based on their extensive experience performing at weddings and events; they are experts in knowing which songs will strike the right tone, whether that’s getting everyone up on the dance floor for a party, or creating a welcoming ambience during a drinks reception.
Which styles of band can I book from Tailored Entertainment?
Our professional bands cover all the most popular styles and alternative choices in contemporary entertainment, so you’re certain to find your perfect band from our exclusive roster, whether you’re planning a party, or booking for a wedding.
For the ultimate party, our energetic rock and pop bands fill every dance floor, or you can radiate glamour and style with soul & Motown showbands, and our lively indie rock, pop punk and RnB / Hip Hop bands are sure to get your guests grooving all night.
If you’re searching for unique entertainment, have you heard of roaming bands? These acts play their set while moving around your entertainment space, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere that your guests will talk about long after the event. Or perhaps the increasingly popular DJ & Sax is more your style, offering you a dynamic and memorable experience.
Seeking something a little different? Our professional acoustic acts are perfect to create a unique atmosphere, while our folk-style and festival-style bands pack out distinctive venues from rustic barns to picturesque outdoor spaces.
If that’s not enough, we have a host of specialist acts, from show-stopping electro swing and vintage-style, to unstoppable club anthems and bandeoke. Plus, there are a host of decade-inspired bands for you to choose from, whether you want to dance the night away with '80s and '90s themes, or '50s & '60s rock’n’roll.
You can find all these genres and more by using our homepage filters to find your perfect professional live music act.
If you’d like to talk to a member of our bookings team about choosing a music style for your event, call our expert bookings coordinators on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com and we’ll be happy to help.
Which of your bands are popular right now?
At the moment, our most popular wedding and event party bands lean towards high-energy, party vibes, with a bit of pop, 90s, soul, and RnB. Here are just a few of our most-requested, exclusive bands that are topping shortlists right now:
- OJ’s Soul Band are the “icing on the cake” to every event, with their authentic soul & Motown performances. If you’re looking to dance the night away with a feel-good and glamorous atmosphere, this could be the band and style for you.
“The band were absolutely phenomenal and the dance floor was packed all night, every single guest commented on how amazing they were. They just bought endless vibes and energy which is exactly what we wanted for our big day.”
Visit OJ’s Soul Band’s page for more testimonials - Wonder Year are wonder-ful at getting the party going with their setlist of tunes from the ‘90s, ‘00s and beyond. Their energetic pop and rock performance will have your guests dancing for days.
“Fantastic live band and disco. An integral part to making our wedding such a success. Kept us dancing all night!”
Visit Wonder Year’s page for more testimonials - Electric Kicks are suited and booted with “fantastic energy” for an all-out party. Pairing singalong favourites with an indie rock energy, you and your guests are in for “the most incredible evening”.
“I have booked Electric Kicks twice… On both occasions, the guys were SUPERB! Don’t hesitate to book them because you won’t be disappointed!”

Which DJ services do you offer?
As standard with every booking, we offer a Personalised DJ Playlist. This is a bespoke playlist played through the PA system before, during, and after the band’s live sets. The audio levels are the same as you would experience with a DJ, and this service works great to keep the party going. Ahead of the big day, you have the opportunity to request up to 40 songs to be included on the playlist.
Alternatively, most of our bands offer an interactive Manned DJ Service as part of their Upgrades & Extras. Where the Personalised DJ Playlist runs through your songlist in order, the Manned DJ Service has a band member acting as DJ during your event. They’ll be on hand to select tracks live, play to the crowd, and take requests. Our professional musicians are highly skilled at reading the room and keeping the party going, making this an incredibly versatile supplement to your evening’s entertainment.
It may be worth noting that, for the Manned DJ Service, the band will use the same PA and lighting as their live performance (as opposed to a separate DJ booth - for this, we recommend hiring a professional DJ), so you’ll get the same seamless quality through the whole event. They will also ensure that they are discreetly off to one side - remaining accessible to guests for song requests, while letting the party continue without interruption, and without talking over tracks. This service is most often used between and after live music sets, but can be made bespoke to your event’s requirements.
Location
I love a band that isn't local to my venue - will they travel there?
Yes! Our bands regularly travel to perform at weddings and events right across the UK and abroad.
Last year, London-based Gatsby’s Jukebox travelled to Lancashire to perform a toe-tapping homage to the 1920s, while Soul All-Nighters ventured from their North West base up to Scotland for a glamorous evening of Motown tracks, and indie-pop alternative 8-Ball took a trip from Sussex to the Isle of Wight - and that’s just to name a few!
If your wedding is taking place outside of a band’s local area, travel costs will be accounted for in your quote, and if travel time to your venue is around two hours or more, an additional fee will be included to cover Travelodge-style accommodation.
Which areas do you cover in the UK?
We cover all areas in the UK! Whether you’re planning a local or UK-based event - be it a wedding, party, or corporate event - our exclusive bands will be there to celebrate your big day.
If you have questions about securing a live music band for your event, call us directly on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com. We’d be very happy to chat through any queries you may have.
Which venues have your bands performed at?
Our talented musicians have performed at many outstanding venues across the UK and abroad, including:
Ashridge House, Berkhamsted
Botleys Mansion, Surrey
Fistral Beach, Newquay
Grosvenor House, London
Hidden River Barn, Carlisle
Ivy Lodge, Cirencester
Millbridge Court, Farnham
Oh Me Oh My, Liverpool
Rudding Park, Harrogate
Southend Barns, Chichester
The Ned Hotel, London
Troxy, London
Wasing Park, Reading
Wilderness Reserve, Saxmundham
And that’s not all! Our bands have even played in exclusive venues such as the Natural History Museum in London, the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, and Richmond’s Kew Gardens.
It’s very likely that we’ll have worked with your chosen venue, so if you have any questions about our bands playing at your wedding’s location, give us a call directly on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com, and we’ll be happy to chat through any questions you may have.
Has the band played at my venue before?
Tailored Entertainment has been working with venues since 2008 (with team members performing in professional bands long before then!), so it’s very likely that we’ll have worked at your event location before.
Every venue comes with its own specificities, and we appreciate that you may want to discuss these when planning your live music entertainment - call on 0800 564 2240 to speak to our expert team, or email info@tailored-entertainment.com.
Venue
My venue has a sound limiter. Can I still book one of your bands?
The short answer is yes, you absolutely can book one of our professional bands if your venue has a sound limiter.
Most of our live music bands are able to perform within the restrictions of a sound limiter. We have a few bands - mainly the club anthems style - whose music may not be suitable depending on the individual venue restrictions.
If you’d like to chat further about your venue and sound limiter, please contact us on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com, as we'll likely have experience of working at your chosen venue. You can read all about what sound limiters are, and how they might affect your live music entertainment in our Tailored Guide on wedding venues with sound limiters.
Does any of your equipment require special electrical outlets that I need to inform my venue about?
Happily, the equipment used by our bands does not require special electrical outlets. As standard for indoor events, our bands use 13-amp sockets, which are the same ones you have at home. For outdoor events where a generator is being used, there may be specific requirements. The FAQ on each act’s page includes their power requirements if you would like to double check for your desired band or shortlist.
If you have specific questions about your venue’s electrical requirements and how this may work with a live band, speak to one of our expert team on 0800 564 2240 or via email at info@tailored-entertainment.com.
How much space does a live music band require?
The space required will depend on the act, but a typical guide for a 4-piece band would be 2.5 metres deep, 5 metres wide, on a flat, even surface. Naturally, if there are more members in the band, they will likely require more space. In case you would like to check a specific act, each band’s page has an FAQ section that lists their space requirements.
If you’d like to talk through the space at your chosen venue, we’d be happy to help; as one of the UK’s leading live music agencies, it’s quite likely that we’ll have experience of your venue’s space. Speak to our expert booking team on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com for more information.
Logistics
How much time will you need to set-up, sound check, and breakdown on the day of the event?
Most bands need around 90 minutes to set-up, once they have access to the space. Meanwhile, soloists can take 30 minutes and show bands with 6 or more members can take 2 hours. Breaking down at the end of the night can be a little swifter, but it’s best to allow a similar time as the set-up.
Every band will perform a sound check at a suitable moment during the day. Please see the FAQ “Will my band do a sound check?” for more information.
You can also find the specific set-up timings for each act on their page, for example these FAQs for LP Collective.
Will my band do a sound check? Why is this important?
Yes, every professional band will do a sound check. The musicians will do this at an appropriate time during the day. Depending on the event, this might be before the guests arrive before a corporate event, or perhaps at an appropriate moment during a wedding day when your guests are mingling and chatting. More often than not, you’ll not even notice the sound check over all the exciting hubbub of your day. On the rare occasion that you do, our experience is that the sound check acts as a teaser for the evening, making your guests all the more eager to hear more!
Sound checks are important for a few reasons, but primarily it serves to get the noise levels balanced for the specific room the band is playing in. This allows the musicians to adjust the levels ahead of the live performance. Without a sound check, they’ll be adjusting the sound during the first song at the event - even if that’s your first dance - and no one wants that!
Will the band bring back-up equipment?
With decades of experience, our bands are prepared for any eventuality. It’s extremely rare for one of our musicians to need back-up equipment, but they are fully prepared should they need to make any last minute adjustments.
Does the band act as the MC and make all of the announcements?
A Master of Ceremonies (MC) is a very specific, dedicated role for your day or event, so the band does not act in this role. For example, a wedding MC acts to keep the day moving at the right pace, whether that’s introducing the reception, presenting speakers, or announcing important moments like cutting the cake. Additionally, a MC will usually be on site and working much earlier than the band.
For a wedding, your first dance is the one exception to this: if there isn’t a MC at the event, the band will introduce your first dance.
How many breaks does the band need through the evening? Will music be provided during their breaks?
Our musicians will take their breaks between sets. Performances are usually either 2 sets of 60 minutes, or 3 sets of 40 minutes, but the breaks can be tailored to your night. As a standard, we offer a Personalised DJ Playlist during set breaks to keep your guests engaged.
As a guide, we’d recommend a 10-15 minute break between sets. A maximum break would be 30 minutes, as any longer risks losing energy and momentum from the previous set.
However, if you have additional entertainment booked through your event - such as fireworks, evening food, or games - we can plan around this. One of the benefits to booking with Tailored Entertainment is that you will have a dedicated Event Coordinator who will work with you to ensure your timings run smoothly.
If you’re spacing live music sets out through an afternoon and evening and would like additional entertainment around the separate sets, you’ll find a variety of experiential Upgrade & Extras on each band’s profile.
Have any questions about your event timings? Please give us a call on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com and we’ll be happy to help.
If one of the band members or the DJ scheduled for my event is unable to perform for some reason, do you have a backup replacement ready to go?
Absolutely. Each band has their own tried-and-tested deputy performer in case of emergency or illness - just like you’d expect with performers on the West End. One of the benefits to booking with Tailored Entertainment is our wide roster of musicians, meaning that we have an incredibly experienced and talented pool of musicians working together. In 17 years of business, we’ve never let down a client on the night.
Weddings
Can my wedding band perform at the afternoon drinks reception too?
Absolutely! Many of our wedding bands offer a drinks reception set in their Upgrades & Extras, which can be found on the band’s page.
Alternatively, did you know that you can book a dedicated act for your drinks reception? The most popular genres for this are jazz, acoustic, and strings, with stunning soloists and unique roaming bands all on offer. To help you find your perfect act, we’ve put together our dedicated drinks reception entertainment options for you to select from.
Whether you’d like to add a drinks reception set from your evening band, or hire a specific act, providing your guests with live music entertainment through the day is a sure-fire way to keep everyone in high spirits and create the perfect atmosphere.
Can the band help me choose the music for certain parts of my wedding day?
We’d be more than happy to give you some guidance on this! As a starting point, some of our band repertoires include suggestions for first dances and acoustic sets, such as these setlists from the pages for LP Collective and Festival Folk.
Beyond this, our expert Booking Coordinators are on hand for further advice. After 17 years in the industry (and even longer playing in bands!), we have a wide range of experience across all types of events, putting us in the perfect position to offer guidance. If you’d like to speak to one of our team, please give us a call on 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com.
We're planning a destination wedding - will your wedding bands travel there?
Of course! Many of our bands are available for overseas weddings and we’ve put together our exclusive roster of destination wedding bands for you.
We’ve arranged many live music acts for weddings and events outside of the UK. For example, last year, BritPop band Shakermaker took their diverse, indie rock setlist to Northern Italy, near Florence. Over in Spain’s Balearic Islands, Soho: DJ Live combined their live music and high energy DJ sets for a unique experience. While One Big Reunion brought the glory days of the 90s and 00s to the Côte d'Azur in the south of France.
As standard for destination bookings, it’s worth noting that in the majority of cases, we quote solely for the band’s performance and travel time. Flights, accommodation, and other logistics are arranged by you or in conjunction with your event planner.
We have a select number of bands who offer an all-inclusive package where we are able to quote for their performance fee in addition to travel, transfers, accommodation, food & drink, and equipment costs. Our experienced and friendly booking team is happy to talk through any of these options with you.
We appreciate that planning live music for a destination wedding involves multiple moving parts; our expert booking team is here to help make your event smooth sailing. For more details and to discuss options, call 0800 564 2240 or email info@tailored-entertainment.com.
